Stake your claim to 40 acres of Mars.
Choose an open lot in Founding Tract One. The registry issues a 19-document claim file in your name, lists it on the public roll and opens a 24-month public notice: a documented claim for the day off-world property rights are formalized, if they ever are.

- Listed on the public registry

Not a deed: no one can sell title to land on Mars, and we don't. No title to land is conveyed, recognition is not guaranteed, and it is not an investment. How the claim works · Can you buy land on Mars?
Everyone else prints you a souvenir. We run the homestead.
For forty-five years the "buy land on Mars" business has mailed people a $25 certificate with no survey, no public record, and no process behind it. We built the opposite.
The novelty deed shops
- A printed certificate, "for entertainment only"
- No survey, no coordinate frame, no real data
- No public record — nobody can see or contest it
- No notarization, no identity, no chain of custody
- No commitment, no continuity, no homestead
- Sold for ~$25 by the millions, all overlapping
The Red Homestead registry
- A 19-instrument possession file
- Latitude-corrected survey on real NASA coordinate frames
- A public 24-month notice anyone may contest
- Self-attested identity, notarization-ready attestations, hash-stamped record
- A 25-year homestead commitment — you work the land
- One claimant, one parcel, transparently searched
How you earn a claim — the homestead way
The Homestead Act of 1862, the General Mining Act of 1872 (pedis possessio — "foothold possession"), and the law of adverse possession share one principle: documented, peaceful, continuous, good-faith possession of land you actually work can ripen into recognized title. We run that exact process — off-world.
Survey
Pick a parcel in the explorer. We georeference it on the body's official coordinate frame and issue a metes-and-bounds description.
GeoreferencingFile
We issue a certificate of claim search, prepare your record of declared possession, and take your identity record.
Record of Declared PossessionPublish
Your claim is publicly advertised for 24 months. Anyone in the world may file a counter-claim during the window.
Public Notice of ClaimAdjudicate
Counter-claims are resolved by date and evidence. Unopposed claims earn a Certificate of Unopposed Possession.
Open & peaceable possessionWork the land
You sign a 25-year commitment to develop the parcel when transit exists, and re-attest to keep possession continuous.
Beneficial useThe first tract is declared — 200,000 forties in Acidalia Planitia
We've platted a single bounded area of Mars, sited clear of every rover, lander, heritage site and private candidate-landing zone, into 200,000 homestead lots of 40 acres each — connected by roads, with reserved easements for power and infrastructure. Zoom from the whole tract down to one open forty, and stake it.

The land under the first real Martian homesteads.
Pressurised habitat domes, greenhouses, solar fields and graded roads — the settlement humanity is actually planning. Your 40-acre claim is a parcel of exactly this ground, surveyed on real NASA coordinate frames and recorded the day you stake it.
What the first Mars colony actually looks like
Not concept-art fantasy — the buildable plan: domed habitats and inflatable modules, agricultural greenhouses, water-ice extraction, and a surveyed grid of homesteads. Each render maps to a real instrument in your 19-document claim file.

Imagery: NASA/JPL/USGS Solar System Treks — Mars Viking MDIM21, MGS MOLA, and LRO WAC global mosaics, served live. Elevation view is default — dark purple/blue = ancient lowlands where water is most likely. Reserved zones mark real rover/lander & heritage sites and published private candidate-landing areas — they are excluded from homestead claiming.
Flagship frontiers — chosen for water, power, and a real future
Our founding parcels sit where humanity is actually most likely to settle: confirmed water ice, near-continuous solar power, and the flattest, safest ground. That makes the "work the land" commitment credible — and the resource memo real.
Shackleton Rim
The lunar south pole — confirmed water ice in permanently-shadowed craters, with "peaks of eternal light" for near-continuous power. NASA's Artemis destination.
Arcadia Planitia
Shallow subsurface water ice, flat and landing-safe, mid-latitude — a long-favoured candidate for the first human landings on Mars.
